Entry screens

This page allows users to create a new process. cmLight can model processes electronically.

To start a process, the user chooses a form, fills it out and sends it.

This page displays the list of e-forms the user can submit.

Upon creation, e-forms (also called requests or queries) are made up of two parts:
  • The Information part that gathers preliminary details on the process.
  • The Workflow part that describes the stage of the workflow associated to the initiated process.
Notes:
  • Labels and fields in the forms are configurable
  • Workflow actions are configurable
  • E-forms access is driven by roles

Tasks

Once a process is initiated, cmLight workflow engine manages the sequence of activities. If a task is assigned to a user, it is displayed in his or her portal and on this page.

Tasks are grouped and displayed by process.

Depending on their role, users can view tasks assigned to other users. This enables users that manage resources to evaluate team members’ workload.

You can put a task on hold and set a deadline and a reason. After the deadline the request is displayed in red so that the user knows the deadline is past.

To perform a task users click a request and the request’s details are displayed.

Details include:
  • Process basic information (can be modified according to users rights)
  • Attachments list
  • Workflow history (who did what and when)
  • Current stage and next stage details
Depending on the workflow setup users can choose the next status of the request.

Here are some examples of actions:
  • Assign tasks to a user, team or role
  • Communicate progress or completion of an activity
  • Approve or reject a request
  • Validate a change
  • Validate tests
  • ...

Interroger la base de données

The Search page is used to query the knowledge base. This knowledge base is fed each time the application is used since all data entered are saved.

If needed requests are saved and displayed on the user’s portal. Results can be displayed with a single click.

The Search page has three tabs:
  • Selection criteria,
  • Displayed fields,
  • Result.
The first tab is used to specify criteria that filter search results.

It is possible to do a search on all types of requests or on a specific one. Depending on that choice, criteria are dynamically changed to display general or specific details.

The second tab is used to determine which information is displayed in the search result.

Users select and sort fields. Each field makes up a column of the search result grid.

Depending on the selected type of search (global or specific) the list of available fields dynamically changes.
  Deuxième onglet
The third tab displays search results in a grid view.

Users can sort results by column and export the list to an Excel spreadsheet.

Clicking one row of the grid displays row details. Users can review the list one request at a time.
